NSW: Man pointed gun at police in dramatic arrest

Four men will face a Newcastle court today .. after a dramatic arrest in the carpark
of a club which had just been held up.

Police say staff at the club were confronted by two men wearing balaclavas and armed
with a shotgun in Hexham in the New South Wales Hunter region about 11.30 (AEDT) last
night.

One man was arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at officers in the carpark .. while
a second was caught following a short car chase.

Two other men were arrested a short time later at a home in Medowie.

All four men have been refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court later today.
